January 2012:
Sooner or later winter will arrive in full force. The temperatures will drop and you don’t want to be caught off guard. The following tips may likely save you some plumbing trouble.

  • Remove Hoses from outside hose faucets
  • Check basement crawl space doors to be sure they are closed and secured.
  • If you depend on separate heat source for well houses verify they are in safe working order.
  • Livestock water troughs with heaters should be checked daily during extreme weather.
  • Don’t forget about unoccupied guest house and tenant houses. (Is the heat on…)
  • If you’re out of town during a winter freeze you should have a friend be sure the heat is operating.

As always, our here at J.R. Snider Ltd Will be ready to provide the level of plumbing services you deserve.

Thanks for your time.

October 2011:
  • Always pour water in your sump pump basin to be sure it operates.
  • Always remove hoses on outside faucets during winter months. Use inside shut-off during winter.
  • Check your crawl space door to be sure it fits well–cold air during the winter will freeze water pipes.
  • Unsure about the age of your water heater? Give us a call. We can tell you right over the phone!

Uneasy about letting service technicians in your home? Don’t be! All of our technicians and office employee’s are Senior Checked. That means every person you talk to, from the customer service representative that answers the phone to the technician that comes to your home, have had a  deep criminal background check,  sex offender registry check,  Terrorist Watch List check, identity verification, and much more.

SEEING BLUE?
Have you noticed blue or turquoise stains in your sinks? It’s probably copper sulfate–the result of water slowly eating away your copper pipes. Left untreated, this can lead to big problems that often start as small pinholes in your copper plumbing. A member of our team can take a look and recommend the simplest, most effective course of action. Most of the time, a simple additive will help neutralize the damage.

WE HAVE CONDITIONERS, TOO…
How about stains in your sinks? Notice an unpleasant odor in your water? Our water conditioning systems will do the trick. We have both whole-house and point-of-use systems. We do all of the maintenance on these hassle-free systems, leaving you free to enjoy glass after glass of fresh, clean water.

Do you already have a water treatment system? Is it connected to your outside hose bibs? We can fix this, so that only the water you use in the house is run through your water conditioning system.
