Arrived today to preform leak searches and tests for multiple leaks in two different buildings, one being the main house and the other being the taste room.
In the taste room we removed a section of plywood behind the lavy sink and found an unglued cpvc fitting that separated. Not sure if it were related to the heat going out and getting cold or not thought. Applied glue to fitting and connected fitting to piping. Waited 30 min for glue to dry before testing again. Restored water to taste room and did not have any other leaks. System satisfied and pressurized.
In the main house installed a new shutoff valve for the main house only so we could restore water to the cottage and ensure there were no leaks over there as well. Restored water to the cottage and did not have any leaks there. The shower that was leaking in the main house from the previous visit we removed the cartridge and found the plastic stacks inside shattered and the shower needs a new cartridge. Shower had stop valves for the shower valve so we could isolate the valve and still have water on to the rest of the home. Did not have any leaks anywhere else in the main house. System satisfied and pressurized.
Need to order Grohe cartridge and return to install when it arrives. Restore water to shower and test for leaks afterwards.
-Locate and repair burst pipe in lavatory in tasting room
-Pressure test tasting room system and verify no other repairs are needed
-Pressure test plumbing at cottage and verify no repairs are needed
-Install new isolation valve for main house supply after water treatment
-Cut into drywall on side of master bathroom shower and attempt to identify burst pipe
-If burst pipe(s) can be accessed and repaired without going through tile, repairs will be made
-If burst pipe(s) can not be accessed, attempt to open drywall below bathroom in an attempt to locate and cap off water lines suppling shower
