Came out for the service on the water treatment equipment. Upon arrival I met with the homeowner and tested water at the kitchen sink. Built estimate to service the equipment and customer signed off on it. 1354 acid neutralizer- bypassed and depressurized unit, removed control board and drive cap. Cleaned and inspected oring, seal stack and pistons. All components were in good condition so I lubricated and installed them. Checked flow meter with no issue so I re used it. Removed tank plug and siphoned out 4 buckets of water and measured the free board. Free board was at 38”. Added 3 buckets of calcite to the unit to bring the free board up to 18 -19”. After doing this I put tank plug back and put unit through a regeneration however during the regeneration the flow slowed down. Had to adjust programming to shorter cycles to help the well keep up. After running it through another regen the well was still not fully recovered. Well takes a long time to satisfy. Did enough backwash and rinsing to get the water in the tank clear. Put unit back into service and set it for regeneration tonight. 1354 air cat- bypassed and depressurized unit, removed control board and drive cap. Cleaned ed and inspected oring, seal stack and pistons. Oring and pistons were good but the seal stack had a torn oring inside so I replaced seal stack. Lubricated and installed components, checked flow meter with no issue so I reused used it. Replaced inlet check, air check and injector. After doing this I reprogrammed the air cat with shorter cycles just like I did for the neutralizer. Well still had not satisfied so I allowed unit to draw 15 minutes of air and ozone then once it was done I put unit back into service. Collected signatures and called landlord for payment approval.
The service performed included the installation of hot and cold shutoff valves on the American Standard thermostatic shower valve. This work is essential for maintaining optimal control over water flow and temperature adjustments.
Install thermostatic American standard shower cartridge. Bottom one in shower that controls the temperature.
Install high water alarm at ejection pit.
Found shutoffs on the shower valve to be leaking when turned back on. Will order and return to replace.
