Removed drywall around existing washing machine box. Raised box to code approved height and replaced both hot/cold valves to washing machine and reconnected the drain. Repressureized system and tested work.
Ran call to perform smoke test on home. Upon arrival, cut into 2 inch PVC discharge line from sewer ejector crock after check valve and introduced smoke to sewer line using vacuum. Completely filled sewer system and found no smoke coming from sewer or vent lines throughout home. Removed trap in basement bathroom and filled basement sewer system, finding smoke coming from sewer crock lid where discharge, vent, and chords are coming through the lid. Applied caulking around all areas. Work was not retested as caulking needs time to settle, but this was found to be the most likely issue and source of smell.
Water Heater Replacement
1. Removal
• Remove and dispose of existing 50-gallon electric water heater.
• Disconnect and remove existing flexible water supply lines.
2. Drain Pan & Drain Line
• Install new water heater drain pan.
• Install new dedicated drain line from the water heater drain pan to the floor drain.
3. New Water Heater Installation
• Supply and install new State Light Duty Commercial Grade 50-Gallon Electric Water Heater.
• Install new flexible water supply connections as required.
4. Temperature Control
• Install Tank Booster Pro.
• Set water heater temperature to 150°F.
• Set Tank Booster Pro outlet temperature to 120°F.
5. Testing & Commissioning
• Test water heater, booster, and all connections for proper operation and leaks.

Sewer Ejector Pump & Venting Modifications
1. Valve & Vent Removal
• Remove existing check valve and shut-off valve serving the sewer ejector pump.
• Remove existing vent cap from the sewer ejector pump vent line.
2. New Dedicated Vent Installation
• Install new dedicated vent line from the sewer ejector pump.
• Tie new vent line into existing 2-inch vent pipe located in the mechanical room.
3. Main Sewer Stack Modification
• Remove a section of the existing 4-inch main sewer stack as required to gain access for new vent installation.
• Install new section of 4-inch pipe and fittings to restore main sewer stack.
4. Check Valve Installation
• Install new tri-check valve on sewer ejector pump discharge line.
5. Testing
• Test sewer ejector pump system, venting, and all connections for proper operation and leaks.

Final Cleanup
• Remove all job-related debris.
• Dispose of all removed materials in accordance with local codes and regulations.
Shortly after Mrs. R. purchased this beautiful historic home in Waterford, a heavy thunderstorm flooded the cellar. After identifying a small issue with the sump pump that we corrected, it was also agreed that we should raise the water heater off the floor as a precaution.
In addition, she was not happy with the quality of the water and wanted to discuss what improvements could be made. After performing a free in-home water analysis we found that her issues included a high amount of iron and hardness. In addition, the iron was harboring iron bacteria which was creating a foul rotten egg odor.
We explained the issues and what equipment was needed to eliminate them. The one year - no interest financing offer allowed us to install the equipment immediately while giving her plenty of time to comfortably pay for her new state of the art water treatment equipment.
We have been working with Mr. R. for a few years as he renovates a large historical home he purchased. Among many other plumbing related work we also revamped the old pressure tank and water treatment. The customer's primary concerns where protecting the refinished older fixtures as well as the new plumbing that was being installed throughout the house. In addition, he wanted to provide his family with safe, clean water that could be used without worry. This phase of the work consisted of installing a new larger pressure tank, a new iron filtration system, a new water softener and a new ultra violet disinfection system with pre-filter.
When Mr. and Mrs. K. had continuous issues with their iron filtration unit, we discussed the features of the Water Care “Ion Air Cat”. The mechanics of this new unit eliminates a lot of the issues that are common with other iron filtration systems. We quickly had a new unit delivered to the site and the new unit was installed in the matter of a few hours. Since the installation there have been no more mechanical issues and the customer has informed us of how happy they have been with the new system.
