Mrs. G. called us over the weekend for emergency service because she had no water to her house. Brad went out and determined her old water treatment equipment was so clogged up water could not pass through it.
We recommended replacement with new equipment as well as a new water heater since it was dated as well.
We installed a new WaterCare Ion Air Cat, a WaterCare Care Soft Elite as well as a UV light and a new 50 gallon Electric Water Heater.
Mr. E. had just purchased this house and found that the current equipment was antiquated and did not address all of the issues he was experiencing with the water.
Brad went out and recommended replacing the old water heater with a new efficient Marathon Fiberglass heater, a new Air Cat Iron removal system, a WaterCare CareSoft Elite softener, and a larger pressure tank.
Mr. T. had a water test which came back positive for Total Coliform bacteria. They called us to shock the house to rid the home of the bacteria. We happily sent Brad out for a free in-home water analysis. Brad informed Mr. T. that shocking the house doesn't always rid the water of bacteria. His suggestion was to install a new UV light to actually rid the house of bacteria and as well as installing a WaterCare CareSoft Elite softener to help with the hardness in the water as well.
-Install new Water Care 1054 “Care Soft” resin water softener
-Replace 1x20” carbon cartridge
I arrived to install a 1054 Water Care “UCS” Water Softener, am also to remove existing Impressions series Softener, and service existing 1x20 in-line whole house filter and install a new 1x20 5 Micorn Carbon cartridge.
Began by unboxing and prepping new unit. Water was shut off and home drained. Old unit was cut out. Drain piping was adjusted to include a studor vent and an air gap. New unit was set in place to begin install. Piping to new unit was done in 3/4” CPVC to confirm to existing house piping. New Backwash drain line was ran in 3/4” CPVC and ran to new 1-1/2” PVC drain line. 1x20 housing was then taken apart and thoroughly cleaned. New 5 Micron Carbon cartridge was installed. All new piping was allowed to dry for 45 min. Water was then turned on to begin new units REGEN cycle. No leaks appeared. 5 50Lbs bags of Solar salt were added to new Brine tank. Softener was sent into its REGEN cycle and allowed to complete a partial Backwash and Rinse cycle. Unit was started in a Rinse and slowly filled. Brine line and Float assembly were pressure tested during Fill and Draw cycles. No leaks. Water was ran in bathroom fixture to remove air from system. Water was tested post install for Chlorine and Hardness. Results below. Stickers were placed and pictures taken and uploaded to Service Titan.

The before picture shows a customer who did not have a UV light system installed in their home. They recently got a failed water sample result from the lab and contacted J.R Snider Plumbing to remedy the problem.
We made a site visit to determine the best place to install a UV light. By the following day, Mr. C. had a newly installed ATS UV light.
